Mojica Research Group
First formed in 1999 at Cavite State University with two students doing their thesis as requirement to complete their degree, the group continued after I completed my MS degree in 2003. During these years, I also handled students from other colleges and high schools. From 2005-2010, while a graduate student at University at Buffalo, I have the honor to mentor undergraduate students assigned to me by my research advisor. As postdoc working on 2011, I also handled undergraduate students doing research in Prof. Ruel Desamero group. From 2012 onward, I have started mentoring students at Pace University. Starting Fall 2021, the CHE 221 was modified into a course undergraduate research experience (CURE) class allowing students to do research while completing the course. CHE 331 followed through starting Spring 2022.
Pace University
This private non-sectarian university is the home base of my research group since 2011. More information found on this website.
University of the Philippines Los Baños
University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) is where I started my career. And from time to tome collaborated with former colleagues still based in UPLB (Prof. Jose Rene Micor, Prof. Mark Rickard Angelia, Prof. Abigail Joy D. Rodelas and Amy B. Hizon-Fradejas) and new ones (Prof. Paul Lloydson Alvarez and Dr. Desiree Bellina-Aldemita). Professor Veronica P. Migo hosted me in her lab in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2018. During the pandemic, I was able to teach some online graduate courses and some students together with some collaborators started doing research supplying them raw data to be processed. Among these students are Jeb Grabato, Pia Federico, Judy Bayalas and Carmel Rolloque. Presently there are other studies being undertaken.
York College
When I moved to New York City, I served as a postdoctoral research assistant at York College, one of the campus of CUNY. Working under Professor Ruel Desamero, I have the opportunity to help mentor his students doing undergraduate research form 2011 to 2014. From time to time, I still used the instruments in his laboratory which is of higher end and more advanced than the one that I have at Pace University.
Collaborators
From time to time, I collaborated with other scientists from around the world. The following are the list of scientists I have collaborated with though out the years.
